Review Highlights:

Overview: What is ASGMAX?

ASGMAX is the new mega network that is probably best well known for including Next Door Studios and it’s various offshoot studios (Next Door Twinks, Next Door Taboo, etc). However, ASGMAX includes more than just Next Door Studios. As well as Next Door Studios and ASGMAX’ own newer series, the network includes Disruptive Films, Active Duty, and Pride Studios. Within these five networks include popular channels such as Taboo Men, True Male, Extra Big Dicks, Men Over 30, and ASGMAX’ new superhero themed animated porn series, Sodomy Squad.

Suffice to say, ASGMAX is massive and includes a lot of bang for your buck. There’s a lot for everyone, and this review will try to dig into as much of it as possible. So let’s get into the details.

Now that we’ve discussed what is included in an ASGMAX subscription, let’s dive into the reviews.

Video Quality Review

When you head to the Videos section of ASGMAX you’ll get told that there are 12,625 results and you’ll see their latest videos up first. There will also be a new sidebar that lets you sort by Channel, Category, or by Tag.

All the most recent (2023-2024) videos that are part of the ASGMAX network have a 4K icon underneath them, next to the date published, reviews, and number of times the video has been watched. When watching a video there will be a Settings icon on the lower right of the viewer that will let you change the quality from 288p to 2160p.

Video download quality is the same, but I’ll discuss that more below.

Updates Review

As I scroll through the Videos section on the site and look at the dates I notice that there is a new video almost every day. At the least I see a week with five new videos instead of one per day. However, five new videos a week is nothing to scoff at.

This most recent week has five new videos within the ASGMAX mega-network, one new compilation video, and a video from HelixStudios, for a total of seven videos. The week before that has six new videos, all within the ASGMAX mega-network.

Overall it seems like they update quite often, and on any average day you can expect a new video to be released in case you happen to get through all of the other 12.5k offered.

User Experience and Accessibility Review

The desktop user interface (UI) and the mobile UI of ASGMAX are clean and easy to use. When you initially sign in to a session you will get a screen asking if you want to subscribe to any other porn sites (I’ll discuss that more below), but you can just hit the “Continue to Member Area” button to get to the main screen. Besides that initial advertisement, there are no other pop up or invasive ads to deal with.

As you can see from the screenshots I took from my MacBook and iPhone respectively, the main screen will include their newest videos, a menu, search bar, announcements, and your account info. I found it easy to navigate, especially considering the massive number of videos the site has. The site has the videos organized well and all the videos I tested had a network, channel, actors, and tags (called categories). I’ll continue using desktop screenshots for the rest of the review but the experience is similar on mobile.

When you click on a video you will be presented with the following screen:

From here you can see the actors, tags, video length, number of views, rating, similar/recommended videos, details, and comments. If your subscription includes Downloads you will see that option as well. You can also choose to watch the trailer or the video. If you choose to watch the video you will see the following screen:

The rest of the site is similar. Discover, Models, Exclusive Models, Photos, and Channels are all laid out similarly to the Videos tab. I think this makes the site easy to navigate and utilize the various categorization tools they have available.

Community and Interaction Review

Comment sections are something I really like on a porn site, and ASGMAX includes them on all their videos and model pages. That is a big plus for me. I am not sure if this is a positive or a negative, but the username you log in with is not the name that you will leave comments with. Instead, you leave comments with a more cryptic “nickname” that is usually just the word “user” followed by a ton of numbers. You can manually change this to match your username, or be any nickname you want, but by default it is going to be a cryptic user designation. I would prefer if it used usernames but maybe it is more-so to protect the privacy of the users commenting.

ASGMAX also has a blog that includes behind-the-scenes, interviews, and surveys. The blog is relatively new, with the first post being from March of 2024. For those who enjoy pornstar interviews or better understanding how their favorite porn video is made, this blog could be an enjoyable addition to the ASGMAX network.

ASGMAX does have a Favorites area as well as a Playlists area, although those both seem to be for just yourself. Other users can’t see your playlists or favorite videos. As a matter of fact, clicking on a nickname in the comment sections doesn’t bring you anywhere at all. I couldn’t find a way to pull up user profiles or anything. So your account is private, even if you comment or make a playlist.

One major piece that I think is missing from the ASGMAX site is model info. If you go to a model’s page you can see what videos and photo shoots they are in but not their stats (size, position, etc), a bio, or any other info on the model. I wish they would include some of that information.

Downloads Review

Downloads are only offered in the Streaming + Downloads subscription, not the standard Streaming subscription. Prices are discussed in the next section but suffice to say that it costs more if you want to be able to download videos.

If you do choose the Streaming + Downloads subcription it advertises itself as “Unlimited Streaming, Unlimited Downloads.” I personally don’t download much porn, but when I went and downloaded a few videos in HD back to back I ran in to no limits.

When you click the Download button on a video you will be given a small pop up screen that will ask you what quality you want the video. For 4k videos I was given eight options spanning from low quality (160p) to 4K quality (2160p). Next to each of the options is also the file size, which will get very large if you choose to download at 4K (between 4-6GB).

Subscription and Ads Review

The subscription prices to ASGMAX are listed below. Please note that they run sales often though. At the time of me writing this they are running a 4th of July sale in which the Streaming plan is $4.95/mo and the Steaming+Downloads plan is $14.95/mo.

• Streaming + Downloads: $29.95/mo

• Streaming + Downloads: $107.40/yr ($8.95/mo billed annually)

From what I have seen from competitors these are not bad prices at all, especially considering the number of videos included in the plan and the frequency of updates.

Now as for advertisements. As previously mentioned, every time you sign in you will have an ad page pop up with offers from various other porn sites. These are mostly discount deals so they could be worth a look if you are wanting to subscribe to more porn sites, but usually this will just be in your way and takes an extra click before you can get to the content you want. However, if you wanted back to this page all of the ads are in the Deals tab in the main menu. Besides this I came across no other ads to other networks/sites.

Conclusion

ASGMAX is a mega-network of some of the hottest gay porn on the internet. There is a lot for everyone on this site and I don’t think anyone would be disappointed in what they would find after subscribing. The videos are high quality including 4K quality for the newer (and by new I mean within the past few years) videos, with new videos added nearly every day, an easy to use and understand UI, and a privacy-focused comment functionality there are not many downsides to joining ASGMAX.

The only two potential downsides I saw were that downloads cost an extra $10/mo, which is a bummer for those who prefer to download their videos, and I personally wish that playlists could be made public so that we could benefit from how other people are grouping together this massive library of porn.

However, these are small issues when considering everything you get and for the price that they offer it at. I would definitely recommend ASGMAX to anyone interested in premium porn with a premium experience.
